  • Also, ensure that the Time and date of your desktop are set correctly. 
  • Then, open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options. 
  • Now, click on Reset/Restore Defaults under the Advanced tab.

Open Windows in Safe Mode 

To get this Error code 12029, try to open windows in safe mode with networking.

  • Press the Window+I keys to open the Windows Settings.
  • Now, select Update & Security and locate the Recovery option.
  • After that, click on Advanced Startup, and your desktop will restart.
  • When your system restarts, start pressing the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot option window opens.
  • Click on Safe Mode with Networking, and once your desktop boot up, check to see if the error code persists.

Re-Configure QuickBooks Payroll and reboot the updates 

To re-configure QuickBooks payroll, try disconnecting and restarting the router, check the latency, launch the company file, and click on Edit. If you want a step-by-step guide, then follow the below-given steps;

  • Turn off your WiFi router and wait for 10 seconds.

  • Open QuickBooks, then click on Help and then select Internet Connection Settings.
  • Make sure that QuickBooks uses the Internet connection of the system.

  • And checkmark the SSL 3.0 and SSL 2.0, then click Apply > OK.
