  3. Right-click on the company file and click on Copy and paste it into the new folder you just created.
  4. Now, press and hold the Ctrl key; don’t release the Ctrl key until No Company open Window appears on the screen.
  5. Afterwards, select Open or Restore an Existing Company > Open a company file > Next.
  6. Lastly, browse to the File saved on the desktop folder and Open it.

Run QuickBooks Database server manager

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop app and,
  2. Open the QuickBooks Tool Hub and head to the Network Issues tab.
  3. Now, click on the QuickBooks Database Server Manager.

Now, scan your company file location

  1. Navigate to the Scan Folder tab.
  2. Now, click on Browse and choose the folder your company files store (.QBW).
  3. After that, click on OK > Start Scan.

Rename QBuser.ini file

QB.ini is a file that’s responsible for storing the initialization information. If the QB.ini gets damaged or corrupted, it can enhance the chances of such issues on your system. Well, this can be resolved by renaming the QB.ini file. To do so, follow the steps mentioned below;

  1. Head to the directory folder
  2. of QuickBooks, e.g., C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks[Version].
  3. Locate the (.ini) extension files from the folder.
  4. Now, rename the File from Qbw.ini to Qbw.ini.old, add the .old extension to all .ini files and save them.
  5. Renaming the .ini file will remove all the rundown records; therefore, you should first open the company file before changing the file name.
  6. Rename the DataStore.ecml file and reboot the device.
  7. Lastly, open the application again and check if the issue is resolved or not.
Revise adobe preferences

For revising the Adobe Reader preferences, you have to open Adobe Reader. Now click on the Edit Tab and then select the Preferences option. Rename the .ND and TGL File

  5. Click Yes; if prompts on the screen.
  6. Click Next and choose the option ‘Remove.’
  7. Click Next again and then remove

Reinstalling QuickBooks on your Desktop

  1. Download QuickBooks installation setup from the official QuickBooks Desktop website.
  2. Now run the setup
  3. Click Next
  4. Now Accept the terms of the Licence agreements and then click Next
  5. Now you will find that setup wants you to type Licence number and Product number
  6. Enter the licence and product number and then click Next
  7. Then choose installation type (We will recommend you to go with ‘Recommended settings’)
  8. Click Next
  9. Then click to Install the program
  10. Now setup will start QuickBooks to install on your computer system.
  11. Once the setup has completed the installation of QuickBooks successfully, you can use it again.
